The San Rafael Student Home™ is a large and newly remodeled building specifically designed for students. It’s a wonderful, clean and safe place where students can live together, study and make friends from all over the world. The entire house is furnished with new, modern furniture and beautifully decorated with many, many pictures.

The house and neighborhood provide a comfortable, safe and homelike atmosphere in which students live together and share their experience in the USA, learn to appreciate other cultures, and make lifetime friends from all over the world.

Make Friends easily
All residents are students like you! It's easy to make friends from all over the world when living together, playing ping-pong, sitting in the sun, or cooking dinner together.

Privacy
The property has a huge yard with a hill that provides for beautiful views.  Students have much privacy when studying or enjoying the California sunshine on one of the many patios.  The bedrooms, the common areas and the very large yard give students a quiet place to study and to relax.


Management Services
The San Rafael Student Home™ is fully managed by a friendly manager and two on-site assistants who ensure that all students are well cared for and feel comfortable at all times. Our daily cleaning service ensures that the house is always clean, and our maintenance team quickly conducts any needed repairs and keeps the garden beautifully maintained.
 

Male/Female Separation The house is divided into a male and a female section. Safety and Security Motion detector controlled lights around the building provide safety and security. There is a secure parking area for cars and bicycles.  Students have their own keys for their bedrooms and exterior doors.  The San Rafael Student Home™ is located in a very safe area.

There are many rooms where students can mingle, study and relax:

• Living Room for students to sit together, watch TV or a movie from our large DVD collection on one of the two TV/DVD/Video entertainment centers, play a game, or simply chat and practice their English.

• The Dining Room with large dining table allows the students to enjoy meals together. A large patio is just outside the dining room, allowing students to enjoy their meals under the warm California sun.

• The Kitchen provides all the necessary equipment and utensils (including stoves, microwaves, rice cookers, refrigerators, toasters, coffee makers, pans, pots, dishes and utensils) for the students to cook their favorite meals.

• Additional Living Room with TV/DVD/Video entertainment center for the girls only.

• The Recreation Room is an excellent place for the students to mingle. There is a ping-pong table, a foosball game, a TV/DVD/Video entertainment center, karaoke, as well as a lounge area with sofas.

• Beautiful Patios and a huge Yard provide opportunities to study outdoors, have a barbeque, or simply enjoy the Southern Californian sunshine.

• A Laundry Room with four coin-operated washers and dryers is easily accessible for all students.

• There are plenty of Storage Areas for the students to keep groceries, luggage, shoes and coats.

Single, Double or Triple Occupancy:
Students can choose to share their bedroom with one or two students, or (if space permits) keep their bedroom only for themselves.

Fully Furnished and Beautifully Decorated:
Each room is unique though all rooms are tastefully decorated with pictures. All bedrooms are furnished with beds, desks with desk lamps, chairs, bookshelves and closets. There is high-speed Wi-Fi Internet access throughout the entire house.

Enough Bathrooms:
There are enough bathrooms with showers throughout the house so that students never have to wait.

Male/Female Separation and Lockable Doors:
Though all students live in the same house, there is clear male/female separation with the bedrooms located in distinct sections. All bedrooms can be locked.

Female Section
The Female Section is located in a separate part of the building. There is a separate entrance door, and there is a lockable door to the rest of the building for extra privacy. In this section there is also an additional living room.

Triple Rooms:
• Angel Island Room: this is the largest room in the house! This room is not only huge, it also has its own makeup area with sink and mirrors.

• Bolinas Room: this large room has its own master bathroom, as well as its own patio with patio furniture.

Double and Single Rooms:
All other rooms in the female section are furnished and equipped for double occupancy. However, if space permits, these rooms can be used as single rooms.

Male Section
The Male Section is located in the front of the building adjacent to the living room.

Triple Room:
The Monterrey Room is a large triple room with many windows.

Double and Single Rooms:
All other rooms in the male section are furnished and equipped for double occupancy. However, if space permits, these rooms can be used as single rooms.
